My 10yr old has a lump in his armpit?
I took him to the Dr. and he seems to think it’s a clogged sweat gland. He prescribed some antibiotics and told me to keep a heat pad on it. I’m a bit paranoid about it and I am taking him to another Dr. for a 2nd opinion tomorrow. I realize Y!A is not the place to go for medical advice, but I’m wonderig if anyone else has had a clooged gland in this area and if you could explain what it looked/felt like. He has a slight fever which has me concerned too. Any info is appreciated.

I would have to agree with the doctor. If your thinking something more fatal (I wont say the word) it normally doesnt start this way. If the lump is relatively small in size and a little warm and slightly red it most likely is a clogged sweat gland. Warm soaks and take the med. It should resolve itself in about two weeks.
