1000 Women Have Their Say In A Recent Survey

In a publicity stunt to promote a world first, pocket-sized deodorant body spray for guys, AXE Bullet surveyed 1034 women between the ages of 18-30. The company said the body spray was designed to allow males to act fast and seize on the unexpected ‘meet-the-woman-of-your-dreams’ opportunities.

These are just some of the interesting results that company reported:

The preferred place for a male to meet a female:
•53% suggested a coffee shop
•41% a bookstore
•40% thought a gym would be ideal
•36% a place of religious worship was the place to meet a guy
•35% while shopping in a supermarket

When is the best time to meet a girl?

•90% said they have sighted cute looking guys as they went about their daily routines and hoped one of them would pluck up the courage to either speak to them, or make a move on them
•65% firmly believed that summer was the best season when girls feel most carefree, ready for fun and that romantic fling
•63% wished a guy who they exchanged a flirty glance with, would begin a conversation with them
Did the girls think a guy’s approach was important?
•68% said absolutely. The way a male approached them, as in his style, amount of confidence, wit and humour was the thing that mattered most
•20% said that a guy’s physical appearance was of utter importance
•11% were influenced by the time and place of the romantic encounter

Are there any clues that girls often use to let the guys know they are interested in them?

•69% felt eye contact and a smiling flirty smile were top of their list
•37% seeking the guy’s opinion or advice on something
•30% agree most men miss their opportunities by not picking up on signals put out by the girl
•26% felt that talking with his friends and not the man himself was useful
•23% simply asking for the time was the easiest
Was how the guy smelt of any importance?
•89% said they would definitely turn down a guy if he smelt bad (This was AXE Bullet’s punch line. Guys had to be prepared, making sure he had that AXE Bullet body deodorant hidden in his pocket).

You can just see it all. Girl spots the guy. Girl makes the appropriate ‘come-on-over-and-get-me’ signals. Guy turns away to quickly check the state of his body odour. Guy zips out AXE Bullet body deodorant and quickly applies the body spray. How and where he decides to apply it is not completely clear. Is it underarm, behind the ear, or…? We will leave the rest to your imagination. Male turns back again to face the girl. Music of anticipation soars in the background. Girl puts out some more ‘come-get-me’ signals. Guy steps up and…

Will someone out there please and up and get real? This is the day and age of financial crisis and the fear of world-wide depression, attacks of terrorism, wars and rumours of wars, one sex relationships, instant communication and the era of the independent woman. Here we have a company who presents us with a scene right out a Clarke Gable film. The next thing we will have will be Tarzan swinging out of the trees and picking Jane up off the street and carrying her back into the forest on his trusty vine. It’s about time we all got back to the real basics and learned to respect each other as human beings. Relationships, of any level, are all about being tolerant of each other and being real. We should no longer, in this age of information, be led along by the nose by a bunch of money-grabbing advertising agents.
