Tips for getting rid of garlic odor?

I LOVE garlic but my parents are telling me i smell like a garlic clove which is pretty nasty and i just wanted to know what tips i can use to get the smell out of me! i already took a hot bubble bath and brushed my teeth a lot. my mom said the garlic is coming out of my pores (something like that).

1 Don’t count on toothpaste and mouthwash to eliminate garlic breath odor.

Reaching for the toothbrush won’t do a thing to stop garlic breath odor since the sulfur compounds are escaping through the lungs – and will continue to do so for up to three days.Using a mouthwash can temporarily mask the odor, but you’ll have to keep using it for it to be effective. Makes you think twice about eating garlic, doesn’t it?

2 Reach for the parsley.

Some people claim that eating parsley with a garlic rich meal reduces garlic breath odor. Whether it does or not, parsley is a good source of vitamin C, chlorophyll, and beta-carotene. Chewing fresh parsley or mint leaves after eating garlic can also help to temporarily mask the odor. After an Italian dinner, reach for that parsley garnish and you can mask the smell – at least temporarily.

3 Take garlic supplements instead.

If you’re using garlic for its health benefits and not its flavor, you may be better off taking an odor-free garlic supplement – but keep in mind the health benefits may not be the same – but at least you won’t have to deal with garlic breath.

4 Don’t eat garlic for three days before an important social event.

To avoid letting embarrassing garlic breath odor ruin a special occasion, don’t eat anything with garlic in it for three days before. It takes that long to get it out of your system.
