Excessive Underarm Sweating Reduction

Stop Underarm Sweat Dead In The Water

You call it excessive underarm sweat. Your doctor calls it hyperhidrosis. Whatever it is called doesn’t matter since you are staining your shirts and dealing with foul body odors that are ruining your social life. You want to stop underarm sweat and you want to stop it today. Excessive sweating has become normal for many people these days, because there are so many things that can cause it. Once you get some clue as to what is causing the excessive sweating then it becomes quite easy to treat it. Fortunately for you, there are many treatments that can stop underarm sweat.

First and foremost in our fast paced and some say, declining society is the presence of stress. When people stress out about finances or finding a job or even relationships, this causes an imbalance which leads to abnormal sweating. If you can’t just put things in perspective, you may want to take something like a mood enhancer to bring down your stress levels. I like St Johns Wort personally.

Secondly, we find in America a population that is predominantly overweight. Being overweight can contribute significantly to excessive underarm sweat. Think about it. The extra body fat acts as insulation that raises the internal body temperature ever so slightly. It also hinders fitness which is essential for proper body functions of all sorts. A fat arm and torso makes for a larger armpit that traps a lot of heat. No doubt about it. You can stop underarm sweat by simply losing some weight.

Related to weight and sweating is what you actually eat. People today are accustomed to eating junk food and processed foods. They contain preservatives and chemicals that are not natural for any of us to eat. The body interprets these as toxins and tries to sweat these toxins out. Move to a more natural and healthy diet and you should see a noticeable reduction in underarm sweat. The body uses water as the way to carry toxins out of the body in the form of sweat obviously. If you have toxins or are overweight, expect to sweat more if you drink lots of water, since the body will take the opportunity to use the water to cleanse itself.

There are many little things you can do to stop underarm sweat. Sometimes it is as simple as finding the right underarm antiperspirant. These use various aluminum compounds that react with the armpit sweat. Smokers sweat more than normal. Quit if you can. Try wearing cotton clothing that breathes more than what you may currently wear. Bath often and don’t be afraid to shave. If all else fails, a doctor may administer a more radical solution like botox, but consider this a last resort. It shouldn’t be necessary.
