Hot Sweats Menopausal Symptoms

This question is for menopausal women.? After 15 years of HRT, my Dr took me off of hormones.?

Hot flashes, night sweats are bad, but my main concern is osteoporosis–family trait. What vitamins, herbs, supplements can anyone recommend for menopausal symptoms as well as bone/body health. There are so many vitamins, etc. out there, I get confused trying to pick the right one. Some say Q-10, some Ester C, others Estroven. I need help by someone who has experienced some success with a certain brand. Thanks.

Registered Nurse here; Dear, the main person that can give you the most accurate answer is your OB/GYN, or General practitioner, having had a hysterectomy at a early age, your needs may be a little different than one who went through menopause as a natural process. What you need is a calcium supplement and not one sold over the counter. There are several calcium replacement supplements that require a prescription. With a history of osteoporosis in your family history, I would think you would definitely need one prescribed by your doctor. Thanks for the opportunity to address your question.
