What causes night-sweats?
For nearly a year, I’ve been sweating in my sleep. No matter if it’s winter or summer or whether there a flannelette sheets or poly-cotton sheets on the bed. I don’t know what could be causing the sweating. I’m within a healthy weight range. I do drink alcohol regularly (3 times a week). So I don’t know if my body is detoxing itself by sweating while it sleeps??. The sweating is pretty severe, dampens my clothes. But when I am awake, I don’t have a sweating problem. Any ideas why this is happening?
Well, your body could be experiencing night terrors, where you aren’t quite in the REM stage but start dreaming anyways. This can cause you to sweat because your body isn’t ready to start dreaming and reacts poorly to the stimulus. If you find yourself tossing and turning in the night then this is probably the case. Also, one reason where you might not wake up from the night terrors is the alcohol might depress your system, keeping you asleep where you would normally wake up.
Basically, try eating healthier, take some vitamins, and stop drinking.
