Advice for Reducing Excessive Sweating and Body Odor

Everybody sweats. Everybody has to cope with body odor, at some point or another. To put it simply, sweating and body odor are just a part of being human. Obviously, there are times that excessive sweating and body odor can take off. During these times, what is usually considered a normal body function can be very embarrassing.

Not a one of us desires to have our body odor overpower our deodorant. Sweating through his or her clothing on a daily basis isn’t something anybody wants. The good news is that you do not have to deal with these things if they become problematic. There are a variety of ways you can battle them. Here is some advice for reducing excessive sweating and body odor.

Limit the amount of body hair you have on your body. You don’t have to shave off all your body hair, but it’s important to recognize that body hair can worsen excessive sweating and body odor. Sweating produces oils, which are absorbed by body hairs. Body hair can also cause bacteria to get stuck in your skin. Body odor can result from either of these factors. So try keeping your skin clear of too much body hair by shaving some of it away, and this can help to control excessive sweating and body odor. Do you have weight control issues? Many people are sensitive about their weight. There is no question, though, that being overweight can contribute to excessive sweating. Moving around requires more energy when you are overweight. This is not designed to be critical. It’s only the truth. The most basic actions take a great deal of effort when you weigh a lot. Exertion causes sweat, which means that you’ll be sweating more and possibly have body odor as well. Weight loss is, therefore, essential if you are overweight and want to control your sweating and body odor condition.

You probably haven’t heard this, but vinegar is an effective antidote to body odor. All you do is rub some white vinegar on yourself every day, focusing on areas that sweat the most, with a wash cloth, cotton ball or towel. For a brief time, you will have a vinegary smell. What happens, though, is that as the odor of vinegar fades, your body odor problem will also have faded, or at least lessened. It seems like an old wives’ tale but it really works! Vinegar is cheap too! Everyone greatly dislikes sweat. This could feel pleasant during exercise but not many other times. Following that though it is icky and nasty. Body odor has never been described as a nice smell. For almost everyone with this condition it is in fact mortifying when you’ve tried so hard to stop it and it continues to happen! Fortunately many things can be done to prevent this condition. You will find that what worked for your neighbor might not work for you. Don’t stop just because one method didn’t work. You will eventually find something that works for you. The unpleasantness of these issues will at some poin become a distant memory.
